Murphy

This abandoned store, probably once a plantation commissary, is in a scene from the movie Crossroads in which Eugene Martone (Ralph Macchio) and Willie Brown (Joe Seneca) take refuge from a storm and meet the runaway girl, Francis (Jamie Gertz).

The three photos, above, at right and below are of the Torrey Wood & Son Gin, one of the last wood-framed cotton gins left standing in the delta. This gin is directly to the rear of the store behind the trees in the photos above.
